2008 Ceuso Fastaia IGT A Proprietary Blend Dry Red Table wine from Sicily, Italy, Review by WA # , #190 (Aug 2010) Rating: 91 Drink 2010 - 2018 Cost: $25 Ceuso’s Fastaia is one of the great values in Italian wine and it is once again superb in 2008. Fastaia, a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot aged in cement is essentially the second wine of the estate’s top of the line Ceuso. Gorgeous, well-delineated aromatics lead to ripe, dark fruit, grilled herbs, spices and cassis in a rich, yet beautifully balanced style. The fruit covers the tannins through to the long finish.
